Yeah we really do stop at red lights!

Thanks to the 10 riders that attended.  By far our biggest turn out during the winter months.  It helped that it was about 40 degrees F!

10 Most Bike-Friendly Campuses Across America - Best Colleges Online

Should the bicycle friendliness of a University help to sway where you go to college?  If you are a huge biker then maybe it would.
I also was pretty stoked that my Alma Mater is listed at #8!  Go Northern Arizona University!

From the journal gazette

SUV hits bicyclist in Warsaw driver cited | The Journal Gazette

Let's hope that the cyclist makes a full recovery.
I was pleasantly surprised the the driver was actually cited!  That says a lot about Warsaw and how serious that community is about becoming a bicycle friendly community.

Ghost Bike

Last November, Brian A. Craig, 15 years old, was struck and killed by a motorist on Clinton in Fort Wayne.

This "Ghost Bike" represents him and will be placed near the scene of the accident.  You can read about the fateful night HERE

Be careful out there everyone.

Brian's name will be one of many that will be read prior to a moment of silence at the Ride of Silence on May 16th, 7PM, at Friemann Square in Fort Wayne.

Consider joining us in raising awareness for vulnerable road users that have been injured or killed.

Full Moon Fever?

Lat Friday I had an eerie feeling as I strapped the velcro around my ankles.  Not a good feeling either.  So I said a prayer to keep me safe and headed out.
I am glad I did.
I was buzzed (passed unsafely)  by a driver on the Columbia Bridge.  I was cursed at by another driver on the same 12 second trip across the bridge as well.
Once off the bridge and heading down Columbia toward Lakeside Park, I was buzzed two more times and cursed at two other times as well.  All this within 1 mile of my workplace!
It had been a long time since I was treated so poorly by drivers here in Fort Wayne.
Did the full moon have anything to do with it?
Careful out there
